Outraged that my best friend doesn’t have the same rights as me just because he loves a man. God, this is so fucked up.
Luckily we don’t live in North Carolina. Ashamed to claim that as my home state.
I used to be proud of being from North Carolina, but that changed tonight. A bunch of ignorant stupid rude people who obviously do not believe in equality. And please, give me any other argument besides the Bible. The Bible also said marriage doesn’t count if the wife is not virgin. Well, I know a whole lot of straight sluts in North Carolina. So do they get to not marry as well. Oh…not to mention, my widowed grandma back home might have her rights taken away now too. For the first time ever, I do not miss North Carolina and I am so happy I moved.
